The most healthy relationship is the one you build with God. We can’t live day to day without Him. It’s not the alarm clock that wakes us up everyday its God’s breath in our lungs. “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14).
The relationship we build with God lasts a lifetime while the friends we make on Earth only last for a season. God is magnificent in the way He keeps us each passing day and year. He does it through the rough times and the times of peace.
We can do nothing without His favor, grace, and mercy. It is by Him we have our being. It was His love for humanity that made Him choose His Son to die such a horrific death so that we could have chance after chance. We have the choice to choose Him above the small things of this dying world.
To understand the beauty of His love for humanity you have to see the glimpse of our Savior and High Priest across the scriptures. We see tragedy in the midst our Heavenly Father creating a way for us to know Him through Christ.
I’ve tried to do life without God and it’s not the same. Its empty, rough, and hard. With Him its grace, mercy, peace in times of trouble. His presence is felt in all that I do. In the rough times His voice is loud and comforts my pain and pushes me to keep striving for eternity.
Without God, you miss His comfort in the midst of all you’ve endured. He has so much to say to all who will allow His omnipresent spirit to speak life to them.
Building a relationship with the true King of kings is beyond this post. It is the relationship that stands beyond all who you have come to know. Because when they fade away God’s word stands, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. How many people can tell you that and stand the test of time. God is the only one who can.
I’ll ride the waves of life with Him above it all.
