Have you talked to God Lately?

We may pray before bed or read the Word from time to time, but that’s not enough. We need to listen to what God is telling us to do. God is not something you have in your back pocket and you pull it out when you feel necessary.

God’s words says “But first and most importantly, seek His Kingdom and His righteous and all those things will be given to you also” (Matthew 6:33). Before Jesus said this, He was speaking about worrying. Sometimes, we choose to worry instead of talking to God about our struggles.

God will not force Himself on us, but He is always waiting and listening. We often run away from God. Though this is true, God is so patient and with open arms. He grabs us up and loves us.

When storms rage in our lives, it is hard to see God because sometimes we are blaming Him. He understands because storms can be confusing and hurt us at our core.

I’m encouraging myself and others to spend a little more time with God. He would love to hear from us. God is love, and He loves us. Breath in our lungs is His love. Protection from dangerous situations is His love. Sustaining us through tragedy is His love.

Have you talked to God lately?
