Life is full of ups and downs. Some days feel light and joyful, while others weigh us down with burdens too heavy to carry alone. In those difficult moments, we feel overwhelmed by challenges. Pain or uncertainty can make us question. Does God see what I’m going through? Does He understand my struggles?
The answer is a resounding yes.
God Knows Every Detail of Your Pain
God is not distant or unaware of our hardships. He knows every tear you’ve cried. He knows every worry that keeps you up at night. He is aware of every burden you carry in silence. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18. It says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” He saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Your pain is not overlooked. Your struggles are not ignored. God is near, holding you even when you don’t feel His presence.
Jesus Experienced Suffering Too
One of the most comforting truths about our faith is that Jesus understands suffering firsthand. He was rejected, betrayed, falsely accused, and physically tormented. He wept at the loss of a loved one (John 11:35). He felt alone in His darkest hour.
Because Jesus walked this earth and experienced human pain, He fully understands what you’re going through. Hebrews 4:15 tells us, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses. Instead, we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are. Yet, he did not sin.”
You are never alone in your suffering. Jesus has walked the road of hardship before you, and He walks beside you now.
God Uses Hardships for a Greater Purpose
The book of Romans teaches us pain is difficult, but God promises that He can use our struggles for good.
“we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Sometimes, our trials strengthen us, build our faith, and prepare us for something greater. Other times, they allow us to comfort and encourage others who are walking a similar path. Nothing is wasted in God’s hands.
Lean on Him in Your Struggles
If you’re facing a difficult season, take heart. God sees you, He understands you, and He will never leave you. Here are a few ways to lean on Him during hardships:
Pray honestly – Tell God exactly how you feel. He welcomes your raw emotions and wants you to pour out your heart before Him.
Read His Word – The Bible is full of promises that can bring comfort and peace. Scriptures like Isaiah 41:10 remind us that He is with us.
Trust His timing. Even when things don’t make sense, trust that God is working behind the scenes. He is working for your good.
Seek community – God often works through people. Surround yourself with others who can encourage and pray for you.
Hope in the Midst of Hardship
No matter what you’re going through, remember this: God understands. He cares. He is with you. Your pain is not meaningless, and your story is not over. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. In His perfect time, He will turn your trials into testimonies.
“Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” – Psalm 30:5
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
Jesus showed His love by overcoming the world. He did this so that we would not have to remain stuck in our struggles or hardships. This should give us hope that we are not tied to our circumstances. God understands because He endured knowing His Son faced pain and suffering enduring the cross.
Hold on—God is not finished with you yet.
