Valentine’s Day has taken on a heavy celebration of love. It is great for those who can show love to their partners, and spouse. Some people show love to single friends, so they don’t feel alone.
There is a greater love than the romantic love of Valentine’s Day. We have the unconditional love of Christ. It is a love greater than anything that can be expressed on Earth. It is a love without conditions, it doesn’t fault find, it is forgiving of all things repented, it is peaceful, and kind and it does not boast to have its way (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
You and I may struggle to love so boldly and unconditionally because we are wrapped in flesh that is led by conditions on love. Today is a beautiful day to celebrate love with those you love most.
There is something far greater to understand and be celebrated above candy and roses or a nice dinner. This greater thing is the love Christ showed for you and me (Romans 5:8). Today as you eat the candy, accept the roses, and sit down for your candlelight dinner remember Christ’s unconditional love.
The love of Christ is the greatest love ever shown ❤️ 💕.
