Obedience to God is Important

Your breakthrough is coming based on how obedient you are to what God is calling you to do.

We see in 1 Samuel 9-24 Saul disobey God and suffer loss. There are some things that only come through being obedient to God. It’s not what you say, but it’s your submission to what God is asking you to do.

Sometimes fear makes us disobey God. Many of us can look back see where we let fear rule. It can cost us a loss or unfortunate circumstance. When God gives us a ministry, business, families, husbands, wives, children, jobs etc. we are to be a good steward over what He gives and do it His way.

We are to manage these blessings the way God sees fit. Sometimes we mismanage what God has entrusted us with and He is not pleased. He wasn’t pleased with Saul and many times it’s the same with us. We face consequences because of this.

I sat with God this morning and as a balanced and honest parent could say to me, He said “there are so many areas where you are disobedient, and you are disobedient because of fear and lack of trust because of your past hurt”.

I ask you this morning if you sat with God what would He say? Could you accept His honesty? We spend so much time busy but are you busy doing God’s business.

God never leaves us hanging or in a state of condemnation. He had a comforting way of letting me know He understood why I struggled. He also gave me insight on how to grow in this area.

It may be the same with you or God may see a different area you need growth in. God is a God of redemption not condemnation. He is a God of transparency, honesty, and truth. Be encouraged God wants to speak to you. He is a good listener too.
